We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Communications Task Lead to support high profile projects and executive level communications initiatives. This role requires demonstrated expertise in technical writing, research, and responding to oversight agencies' requests, including those from Congress, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
The ideal candidate will possess Chief of Staff type competencies, including exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex and fast-paced projects.
This is a hybrid role with locations in Springfield, VA and Arlington, VA.

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated compensation range for this position is between $85,000 and $145,000 annually, based on benchmarks in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This range reflects a good faith estimate for all experience levels. At Hive Group, salary decisions are influenced by several factors, including but not limited to the role, location, and the combination of education, training, skills, certifications, competencies, and relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical writing expertise and conduct thorough research to prepare accurate and comprehensive responses to oversight agency requests.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to manage high-profile projects and ensure timely and effective communication.
- Design and implement systems, procedures, and work simplification strategies to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Prepare operations and procedure manuals to assist management in improving operational effectiveness.
- Conduct organizational studies and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality work.
- Assist senior team members and perform functional duties under their oversight, ensuring seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant communications experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in communications, business administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, research, and responding to oversight agency requests.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage executive-level projects and navigate complex, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience as a Management Analyst, including conducting evaluations, designing systems, and preparing procedural documentation, is a plus.
